Mountain Bike Adventures: A Cycling Tour of Thrills and Surprises
Mountain bikes and the wild are like natural partners. When the wheels roll over the rugged mountain roads and pass through the dense jungle, there will always be many unforgettable and interesting stories, and each experience is full of unknowns and surprises.
Lost in the mysterious “Elf Valley”
Once when I was riding in the mountains, I followed a path that seemed to be seldom traveled. I thought it was just an ordinary fork in the road, but I accidentally entered a valley that looked like a paradise. The trees in the valley were towering, and the sun shone through the layers of branches and leaves, forming golden beams of light. The forest was filled with a faint mist, as if I had walked into the fairy world in a fairy tale.
The mountain bike moved briskly on the path covered with pine needles, and the wheels pressed over the soft ground, making a soft rustling sound. Suddenly, a clear stream appeared in front of me and blocked the way. I thought I had to take a detour, but I found that the stream was not deep and the bottom was round pebbles. So I plucked up the courage to ride my bike slowly into the stream. The cold stream splashed and wet my trouser legs. The cool and exciting feeling made people cheer. In this valley, I also encountered a few cute little squirrels. They were holding pine cones and looking at me curiously with their round eyes. When I tried to get closer, they quickly jumped up the trees and disappeared among the dense branches and leaves.
“Crazy sprint” in heavy rain
Once when I was riding, the originally clear sky suddenly became overcast, and it started to rain heavily in a blink of an eye. The mountain path suddenly became muddy, the rain blurred my vision, and the situation became a little tricky. But the excellent grip and strong passability of the mountain bike made me not retreat at all.
I pedaled hard and moved forward on the muddy road. The wheels rolled up mud and splashed everywhere, and my body was soon covered with mud and water, but the excitement of fighting against the bad weather became stronger and stronger. The rain slid down my cheeks, and I accelerated while dodging the small stones that kept rolling down the mountain. When I finally broke out of the rain and saw a ray of sunshine in the distance, my heart was full of a sense of accomplishment in defeating nature. At this time, I looked like a “mud man” who had just crawled out of a mud pond, but I still feel excited when I think back to this crazy experience of riding in the rain.
These interesting experiences of riding in the wild made me deeply feel the infinite charm of mountain bikes. Every time I set out, it was like starting an unknown adventure. In the close contact with nature, I gained unexpected surprises and touched.
